Here are some photos I took in the nights sky room in Cardiff museum. By moving the camera swiftly whilst capturing the images i was able to create some pretty interesting effects. I’dlike to see how I could create a similar impression in a painting.

The Object is to inform a use of the Internet to someone who existed before the early 1900′s.
I want to use Lady Jane Grey of the Tudors who reigned over England for just nine days in the 1500′s.
I thought to use a personal possession of Lady Jane’s to help her to associate the concept of information coming from something she is more familiar with. This would be easier for her to grasp than exposing her immediately to the full form of a computer and power of the Internet.
I chose to use a pocket watch for this function.
This piece by Jen Stark captured my attention. I want to create something that appears to burst from my pocket watch representing to Lady Jane the expanse of data that can unfold from WikIpedia.
Kako ueda’s work really inspires me. I want to make a cut-out for my piece that emerges from within the pocket watch.
The piece I have made aims to represent how the elements of Lady Jane’s world in the Tudor era and the information she requires can all be found within one compact object, Like a computer.
The image above gives both a stained glass effect and I think is similar to the mechanical structure of a Pocket Watch. These similarity’s give the image a rather authentic aesthetic for the time it portrays.
The concept would be that the cut-out demonstrates Wikipedia by netting together all the material that has been massed together, whether explicitly correct, or not.
